Forging Operator Pay Rate: £15.33 – £18.50 Per Hour

Permanent Role – Forging Operator

Forging Operator – Shift Pattern
Double days: 9 Day Fortnight
(rotate bi-weekly)
Week 1: Monday to Thursday: 5.30am – 2.00pm with a 30-minute lunch break and Friday 5.30am -1.30pm with a 20-minute lunch break.
Week 2: Monday to Thursday 2.00pm – 10.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break and Friday non-working day.

Summary – Forging Operator
We are working in partnership as we look to increase our team. Due to retirement of long-standing employees and a large aerospace contract, we need additional forging operatives to join the team on a permanent basis.

Forging Operator – The Job
• Operating various engineering machines – forging machines
• Using various measuring gauges – verniers, shadow graphs etc
• Reading and working from engineering drawings.
• Working to customer specifications
• General Housekeeping duties

Forging Operator – The Requirements
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Able to work in imperial measurements
• Able to quality check using a variety of tools
• Must be clearly conversant in English
• Physically fit as there is a lot of manual work
• Must be organised and able to work to a process and ensure stock is moved correctly in specific batches
